Fans of era-defining music are in for a treat this September, as Vue Newcastle under Lyme brings two of the world’s most iconic performances to the big screen.
First up, guests will be able to catch Rock legend, Ozzy Osbourne, as he stars in Black Sabbath: The End of the End. After nearly 50 years together, this fantastic documentary chronicles the final tour from the band who forged the sound of metal, featuring exclusive new interviews and renditions of their generation-spanning songs.
Also available this September is audio-visual spectacle ‘David Gilmour Live at Pompeii 2017’. 45 years after Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour filmed ‘Live at Pompeii’ in the legendary Roman Amphitheatre, he returned for two spectacular shows as part of his year-long tour in support of his No.1 album ‘Rattle That Lock’. The performances were the first-ever rock concerts for an audience in the stone Roman amphitheatre, and featured astonishing music and stellar performances from an all-star band.
Johnny Carr, Alternative Content Manager at Vue UK and Ireland, commented: “Our big screen events calendar always offers a wide range of quality content and we’re really excited by the musical influence that we have coming up this month.”
“As well as this, we’ll also be screening the Shakespeare classic, King Lear, live from the Globe Theatre. It features Kevin McNally in the lead role as Lear attempts to divide his kingdom between daughters, Goneril, Regan and Cordelia.”
